Global Day of Action against Corporate Courts

Corporate courts written into international trade deals allow foreign companies to sue governments for taking action that protects human rights and the environment. These are known as Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Tribunals.

As an example, the proposed Cumbria Coalmine was declared unlawful by the UK's high court because of its climate impact, and the West Cumbria Mining Company is now suing us for doing this.

For the companies it's win-win.
